Measuring Yourself For a Bra
Before you begin, be sure to have the proper tape
measure and find your best fitting bra. For a more accurate measurement, this
bra should be un-padded and have no under-wire. Once you have it on and if your
breast sag, adjust your straps. The crest of your breast are halfway between
shoulder and elbow.
Measuring your Band Size (BS)
Wrap the tape measure around
where your bra band would go,
(be sure that the tape measure is parallel to the
ground).
Take the tape measure and
put it around underneath your breast
or the under bust. Be sure the tape
measure is parallel to the ground.
Measure in inches.***
*** If there is a fraction
in your measurement, round up to the nearest inch.
Example: You measured 27 ¾
inches round up to 28 inches
You measured 34 ½ inches
round up to 35 inches
Now that you have your
measurement, to determine your band size do the following:
If your measurement
number is even, add 4 inches
If your measurement
number is odd, add 5 inches
Example
Your under bust measured 28
inches. Add 4, and you band size (BS) is 32
Your under bust measured 35
inches. Add 5, and your band size is 40.
Cup Measuring
Measure yourself around the
fullest part of your bust (boobs).
Once you get your cup measurement, subtract you
band Band Size (BS) from you cup measurement (CM)
For example, your cup measure
is 41 inches
To calculate Cup size (CS)
:
Cup Measurement (CM)- Band
Size (BS)= (CS)
41(CM)- 40(BS)= 1 “1” is your
cup size.
The size bra from this
example is 40B.
Determining your cup size
Cup Measurement minus Band Size equals your Cup Size
CM- BS= CS
